Company registration is not a travel licence
An incorporated company can exist without being authorised for every activity it advertises. The Irish Aviation Authority handles travel-agent and tour-operator licensing, so use its current resources for that regulatory question.
Then connect the licence to the exact legal entity in your booking. Similar brands, overseas parents and Irish subsidiaries can create confusion about which company receives payment and owes package obligations.
- Legal booking entity
- Agent or organiser role
- Current IAA licence where applicable
- Payment recipient and protection
Read the company record behind the licence
Search the company number to confirm status, address and incorporation date. The full report adds available directors and filing history, which can help you compare the corporate record with the website and licence information.
A normal company status does not replace licensing or guarantee that travel will operate. Equally, a licence does not authenticate every email or payment request. Keep each check distinct and require all identities to reconcile.
Understand what you are booking and who supplies it
A travel purchase may combine flights, accommodation, transfers and activities provided by different parties. Read whether you are buying a package and which entity acts as organiser or agent. Check cancellation, changes, refunds and what protection applies if a provider fails.
Use an appropriate payment method and consider travel insurance based on current advice and policy terms. Be cautious of a last-minute beneficiary change or request to move payment outside the established booking system.
- Retain the final itinerary and booking conditions.
- Identify the organiser and each major supplier.
- Check insurance exclusions before relying on coverage.
- Confirm bank-detail changes outside the message thread.
When the company report is proportionate
The report is most useful for an expensive package, group trip, specialist tour or unfamiliar provider where you want a dated corporate record before paying a large balance.
It cannot confirm seat inventory, hotel reservations, package protection or future performance. Use the €11.99 report alongside the IAA licence check, official consumer guidance, payment protection and travel insurance review.
